- IV Additive
- A drug that is added to an IV solution for the purpose of parenteral administration. An additive can be an electrolyte, a vitamin, or other nutrient; or an antibiotic. Only electrolyte or multivitamin type additives can be entered as IV fluid additives in Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS).
