What is VistACom?

VistACom is a mobile/desktop user interface to VistA which helps providers meet the requirements of Stage 1 Meaningful Use for interoperability, Meaningful Use measure reporting, and Quality Measurement reporting.

VistACom can be accessed from the Tools menu of CPRS or directly via a URL into the VistA system. When accessed from CPRS, no additional signon is required. When accessed from a URL, the user is prompted to enter their VistA Access and Verify code and select a patient.

VistACom is built using the EWD and Sencha Touch frameworks, and Webkit desktop browser such as Google Chrome or Safari. It also works on iPads running iOS 5 and Android tablets using Android 3.0 or later.

VistACom presents 5 tabs to the user: Mail, Files, CCR, MU (Meaningful Use), and Quality.

Mail
