- Node
- In a tree structure, a point at which subordinate items of data originate. A MUMPS array element is characterized by a name and a unique subscript. Thus the terms node, array element, and subscripted variable are synonymous. In a global array, each node might have specific fields or “pieces” reserved for data attributes such as name. In data communications, the point at which one or more functional units connect transmission lines.
