- An item manufactured by the pharmacy in a large quantity (gallons, pounds, etc.) and kept on hand to be dispensed in smaller 0quantities (ounces, grams, etc.). Identified by the code “M” in the DEA, SPECIAL HDLG field (#3) of the local DRUG file (#50).
